Around the world, millions of children lack access to quality education, particularly in developing countries. This educational deficit perpetuates poverty and inequality.

Key statistics include:

• 250 million children are out of school globally.
• Over 600 million kids are unable to attain minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, even though two-thirds of them are in school.
• Girls are disproportionately affected, with higher out-of-school rates due to cultural norms, early marriage, and safety concerns, costing $30 trillion in lost lifetime productivity & earnings.
• Inequality in education fuels unrest. In countries with twice the levels of educational inequality, the probability of conflict more than doubles.
• Education is essential for the achievement of all of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is so central for facilitating development that each one of the 17 SDGs includes a target which relates to or depends on learning and educating.

We provide grants to education projects led by vetted nonprofits and international NGOs to increase children's access to learning. Grants can fund education projects like school builds, school rehabilitation, and scholarships.
